my problem is i read too much, 'speccialy when it comes to mythology n' stuff like that.
real fairies used to wreak all sorts of havok on humanfolk, oh they'de do chores for you but only if you bribed them (i think cosmo woulda liked being that kinda fairy better.. ;) )
and when i'm watching fop i always wonder why they put so much effort into granting wishes to an inferior species .. :P

Heh heh, yeah.

Hey, there's a reason people always called them by nice euphemisms like the Fair Folk, the Hillfolk and such.

To say the name 'fairy' was to get their attention...

AND INVOKE UNSPEAKABLE PAIN!

Or something like that. Yeah.

Reminds me of how Mr. Pratchett portrayed elves in Lords and Ladies.

This is brilliant-I've never even thought of applying fairy concepts to FOP.

Fairies were mean little shits-you did not want to mess with them. They could steal your children and leave you with one of their own-a changling.
